Luxury Waiting Lounge Manchester

Panoramic airfield views, a designated chef, free Wifi – but NO KIDS ALLOWED.
Manchester Airport has unveiled plans for a swanky new £1.6m lounge to open in Terminal Three in April.
Dubbed 1903 after the year of the Wright Brothers’ first flight, the new suite is aimed at passengers looking to start their holiday in style.

But this is not an experience for the whole family.

Indeed, offering what hub bosses describe as ‘all-inclusive luxury in an adult-only environment’, there will be not a child in sight in this T3 haven.

So don’t expect bangers and mash on the menu, created by an on-site chef ready to prepare ‘seasonal dishes with locally sourced ingredients’.

There will be free drinks too, including an assortment of booze and ‘premium spirits’.

Passengers will be able to sit back and enjoy panoramic views of the airfield, or get connected with unlimited free Wifi.

And if you can tear yourself away to make the flight, life will be easier thanks to a Fast Track Security Pass which comes with your £30 lounge ticket.

Ken O’Toole, CEO of Manchester Airport, said: “We’re looking forward to the launch of 1903 in Terminal Three.

“It’s in a prime location and will offer passengers a real slice of luxury before their flight. We continually listen to the needs of our passengers and 1903 offers something different from our existing airport lounges.”

Beth Brewster, executive vice president of Business Development and Lounges for Manchester Airports Group, said 1903 would be their ‘flagship lounge’.

She added: “We will provide passengers travelling through Terminal Three with the opportunity to begin their travel in the most enjoyable and relaxing manner possible. We expect to roll the brand out in due course to our other airports.”

The lounge will be priced from £30 when booked in advance and is on sale from February 1 2017. The airport has appointed Gariff Construction Ltd as the lead contractor
